| Last updated: 5/3/10 Gettings Started with Aywas
Since a few of us are having trouble finding our way around, I thought I'd relate some of the tips and tricks I've picked up since starting the site.
***ALL Titles across the upper right of your Aywas Screen: Play, World, Etc. Are drop down menus for finding your way around***
1. Don't pay 500 BP for your first pet from the Pet Shop. You can get a pet for free from the Adoption Center and you'll have much more colors and styles to choose from. You might even find something rare!
2. Start Exploring right away. Its completely free and your pet will find items, gain experience, and you might even manage to bring home another pet!
3. Play Higher or Lower as many times as you can. Its completely free and you win BP.
4. Don't wait to start your shop. It doesn't cost anything to get started and you can start selling the stuff you find exploring right away.
5. Almost everything in the NPC shops can be found somewhere inworld. So always Search user shops before spending your hard earned BP.
Getting Started Exploring- Spoiler:
Gettings Started Exploring
1. The most important thing in exploring is your pets 'Energy'. Be careful with it, because when you run out it takes items or time to regenerate.
1a. I never go into a battle when I'm at 5 or less energy. Just "explore" again until you're feeling stronger. Since it costs 1 energy to explore and at least 2 energy to combat, you'll save yourself a lot of downtime.
2. Your explorations save each step on each pet separately. This was a crucial lesson for me. It means that:
2a. If you find a rare pet that you really want but are low on energy, you can just go back to your inventory and 'juice up' or wait a while to be at tiptop strength before trying your luck. Since pet capture chance is partially based on how much energy you have at the end of the fight it makes a big difference.
2b. When you find an item, it has a cost to pick up. Take your time and make sure its something worth it to you. Go search it in the user shops before you decide whether or not you want to pick it up.
3. When not in combat with your active pet go to Battle to equip armor and weapons. Ideally, your pet should be strong enough that it only takes 1 turn/energy to finish a fight.
4. As the fights get easier and you find yourself oneshot'ing everything, you should "Advance to the Next Stage" after combat until you find a more challenging fight. You have to rank up the desert/bridge to unlock other areas. I also seem to find better loot/rarer aywa as I rank up.

Acquiring Petslots- Spoiler:
Acquiring Petslots
Lets face it, its a collectors petsite and that means having as much room as possible for all your lovelies.
1. Explore a ton and pick up pretty much all the 100 BP junk you find. I sell the food stuff, keep the energy stuff so I can explore more, and then go to the Dump and turn all the junky battlegear in for Dump Tokens. You can only dump 50 items a day, BUT you get 1 Dump Point for each level of rarity the item has. Find the right combo and you could make a LOT of pet slots quickly.
1a. Once you have a stack of Dump Tokens, take them to the Dump Shop and buy the Blue Orbs. Each one will give you 5 more pet slots, and if you're only dumping 100 BP junk pickups, thats 5,000 BP for each one (or 1k a petslot). Much cheaper than the 15k they sell for in user shops or even the 3k+ that Blue Vials are selling single petslots for.
2. I've also found Blue Vials while I was exploring. So keep your energy high and grab the loot!

Have questions I haven't covered yet? Ask me! I'll be happy to help. | Thanks Carrie for the Dump correction. | |

| TO DO:-Add Breeding Help - Spoiler:
Sorry Becky, I'm supposed to be working on that guide XD It boils down to.. You pick two pets you want to combine. (Its magic so gender doesn't matter)
Then, you get a Breeding Coin. There are several kinds you can use, but if you're breeding same species (like Mae and I with our Vynes) you can use a Lesser Breeding Coin which comes from the GP store for 25 GP.
You must have one or both pets in your lair to initiate the breed. The second pet can be on any account, but the account holder has to approve the breed. Different breeders require different things for their breeds.
Then you take your L.B.C. to Stone Henge on the world map and submit the breeding. At this point, you'll be asked which pet should be 'dominant' for line art/colors/patterns/etc. For Mae and I we chose the Equinox Vyne, since its the lightest of the two and could be easily overwhelmed by the Nebula's dark patterns. If you don't own both pets, a request will be sent to the other owner and you'll get verification that they have accepted or denied the breeding.
Now you wait.
Hopefully soon the person who submitted the Breeding coin will receive the eggs to their account. You can NOT move the eggs off that account until they are hatched. You can start them incubating the same way you normally would with Random Eggs and TREs.
In a few days, or sooner if you Rosetta them, you'll have some full grown baby pets that are some combination of the parents.
It should be noted that there is a Radioactive Breeding Coin that you can sometimes find in user shops but ANYTHING, and I mean weird shit.. can happen when you use them so the typical pet predictions don't apply.

| I also have another way to help out with the Pet Slots! My friend Shae told me about this. - Spoiler:
Go to the shop Omnom, and buy as many of the cheap foods as you can, then go turn them into the Dump Shop! There are usually plenty of foods for under 50 BP, so you will have your Blue Vial or even Blue Orb in no time!

| Becca, thats another good option, but I'm not adding it to the guide for a couple of reasons. Mainly because before S|R attacked Aywas enmass, the dump shop got its 50 items per day limit specifically because people were abusing the food prices to dump items. Its still an option, and a viable one if you only want to get 50 dump shop points per day, but personally, I avoid it because I find it a bit cheap and because I can get more daily tokens by dumping uncommon/rare foods I find in explore for cheap. | |

| Or you could do it the impatient people way (like me) and buy vials and orbs from usershops. |D Buuut there's also silver orbs and shards for pretty cheap in the BP shop right now. I'm glad you moved your guide here Naj, sometimes I still forget things. xD <3 | |
